WEFL is a supplemental homeschool community where families come together to prepare children for lives filled with meaning through literacy, world exploration, anthropology, critical thinking, creativity, and meaningful community.
About We Excel Freedom Learners
As a parent, I wanted more than academics for my children. I wanted meaningful friendships, opportunities to explore the world, celebrate accomplishments, and learn alongside families who valued curiosity, kindness, and lifelong learning.
When I couldn't find that community, I decided to build it.
Today WEFL brings families together through weekly live learning experiences, world exploration, creativity, entrepreneurship, and our annual Thriving Up Ceremony.
WEFL began with a simple question: What if homeschool families could experience the support of a community while maintaining the freedom to learn in their own way?
How We Started
Our Mission
WEFL exists to partner with families in preparing children for lives filled with meaning through literacy, world exploration, anthropology, critical thinking, creativity, and community.

Meet the Founder
Hi, I'm Ronya Renell, Founder & Lead Parent Facilitator of We Excel Freedom Learners.
When I first started as a homeschool parent I wanted more than academics for my children. I wanted them to experience learning as an opportunity to connect with the world, engage with different cultures, and build meaningful relationships with other families.
I also wanted my children to experience a sense of community, one that could grow into something deeper over time, where families learn together, support one another, and eventually begin to feel like family.
My vision was to create a life of learning centered around world exploration and cultural immersion while still helping children build strong traditional and practical skills that prepare them for everyday life.
What began as a desire for my own children has grown into a supplemental homeschool community where families can come together to explore the world, strengthen academic and practical skills, and create meaningful connections along the way.
Every learners deserves to be seen, supported, challenged, and celebrated. - Ronya Renell
