Every homeschool year begins the first day of class. It begins with months of planning, dreaming, and creating meaningful learning experiences for our scholars.

Learning Through Curiosity
One of my favorite parts of preparing for a new homeschool year is creating lessons that help children discover how big and beautiful our world really is.
Today I’m working on World Explorers Club, one of our enrichment offerings for the upcoming school year. As I organize lessons, gather resources, and refine activities, I’m reminded that learning is about more than facts—it’s about curiosity, asking meaningful questions, and developing an appreciation for the people and places that make our world unique.
At WEFL, we believe every child deserves opportunities to explore beyond what they already know. Whether they’re discovering traditions, geography, literature, or everyday life in another part of the world, every lesson is an invitation to think more deeply and make meaningful connections.
Preparing for a new school year takes time, creativity, and care, and I’m grateful for every moment of the journey.
Thank you to all of the families who continue to support WEFL. I’m looking forward to another wonderful year of learning together.
Throughout the summer, I'll be sharing more behind-the scenes moments as we prepare for another exciting year at WEFL.
If your child could spend a year exploring one country or region, where would they choose?
I’d love to hear in the comments.
